Choose a focused batch layer when generation is the bottleneck and another editor, content system, or automation already owns the rest of the workflow. This is common when a team has an established script, naming convention, review process, and delivery folder.
Questions to ask before choosing
- Does the job begin with a single idea or an approved list of assets?
- Is voice production central, or do you only need visual generation?
- Will someone refine every output manually?
- Do file names need to match scene or product IDs?
- Must the workflow accept CSV or API input?
- Is a recurring plan useful, or is the work occasional?
- Where will final editing and approval happen?
These questions expose workflow fit without depending on a feature table that may become outdated.
Use clean handoffs
If you combine tools, make the prompt sheet the source of truth. Use stable IDs from the script through generation and final edit. Keep separate columns for the visual prompt, motion direction, voice or dialogue notes, aspect ratio, and review status.
Test a few high-risk scenes before generating the complete set. After generation, record which rows were approved, which need a retry, and which changed during editing. That prevents the spreadsheet and delivery folder from drifting apart.
